Reflections for Master Trooper Kevin Keith Conner

So Sorry for the NC Highway Patrol Family and Trooper Connor's Family. As a 27 year veteran I have been through law enforcement loss. It is very hard on Morale, we all wish we could have been in the fight with him to help or go down with him if need be. At some point our law makers have to get in this fight with us for harsher penalties for these worthless offenders. Prayers and Tears!

I did not know this Trooper personally, however I am his brother in blue. It pains me anytime one of my brothers or sisters are killed, and I wish nothing but the best for his family that was left behind because of a piece of trash.

I feel how weak and fruitless must be any word of mine which should attempt to beguile you from the grief of a loss so overwhelming. But I cannot refrain from tendering you the consolation that may be found in the thanks of the Republic they died to save. I pray that our Heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement, and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be yours to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of freedom.

Yours, very sincerely and respectfully,

Abraham Lincoln

I never met this trooper nor the hundreds of other officer's who have lost their lives keeping us safe
At night we turn out the light's pull the covers up and sleep well because we know we are being protected by these Knights sadly to many are being taken away from us because cowards that's right COWARDS think they shouldn't have to answer to anyone
My prayer is that GOD give comfort to this troopers family friends and coworkers...l pray GOD protection for those who sacrifice so that we can feel safe in Jesus name AMEN

"Somebody killed a policeman today,
And a part of America died.
A piece of our country he swore to protect
Will be buried with him at his side.
The suspect who shot him will stand up in court,
With counsel demanding his rights,
While a young widowed mother must work for her kids
And spend alone many long nights.
The beat that he walked was a battlefield, too,
Just as if he'd gone off to war.
Though the flag of our nation won't fly at half mast,
To his name they will add a gold star.
Yes, somebody killed a policeman today,
It happened in your town or mine.
While we slept in comfort behind our locked doors,
A cop put his life on the line.
Now, his ghost walks a beat on a dark city street,
And he stands at each new rookie's side.
He answered the call and gave us his all,
And a part of America died."
