To the family of CHP Officer Kirk A. Griess, I want to extend my deepest sympathies on the passing of your loved one. It is sad to say that I am acutely aware of the pain and sadness that you are experiencing. Our sons had so many many things in common. Mine was a Marine as was your son. My son applied and met the grueling requirements to be a CHP Officer as did yours. Your son paid the ultimate price for duty and dedication as did mine. Please know that you are in my prayers.
