I stepped out to start up my motorcycle this am for duty when I heard the news of this motor officer from Texas. My heart stopped. Part of our job is to enforce the laws of the state and inform the public of the traffic laws. Today's traffic is out of control. My wife and I send our deepest condolences to his family, friends and to his colleagues at the Dallas Police Department. Stay safe out there everyone behind the badge.

We just honored a Brother in Massachusetts and it was difficult. Corp. Givens, you were honoring an Officer in Texas, it was difficult but it turned out tragic. The outrage is overwhelming at times at how the women and men of Law Enforcement lose their lives. So senseless, needless and often, avoidable.

I hope that, after a lengthy prison sentence, your killer turns their life, legitimately, around.

My prayers are with your family both at work and especially at home.

God Bless you, Brother and may you forever Rest in Peace.

This has happened too many times.A drunk driver kills an officer on a motor, in patrol car. I only hope the killer of this officer is thoroughly investigated for any previous run in's with police , to prove whether or not this was an intentional act. I am a 20 year cop(retired) and I am sick and tired of those responsible for deaths of officers serving less time than they should and/or being paroled. All cop killers should serve life. R.I.P. corporal Givens. Thank you for your service.
