My thoughts and prayers are with Officer Gomm's family, friends, and co-workers. A senseless death is never easy to understand. I think it is even harder for those who do not walk the tiers of a prison to understand. I wish there were words I could say that would make this time easier for you all. I've been where you are at and I know from first hand experience that losing a fellow officer is tough. Please know that there are those here with the North Dakota Dept. of Corrections that grieve with you. God bless.

My Condolences and Prayers to officer J Gomm family. Rest In Paradise officer Gomm. Officer Gomm paid a higher price being a correctional officer, he lost his life and that was the one thing you never knew, entering the compound on a day to day basis, you didn't know wether you were going home or not. He will be remembered for all the long days, double shifts may be working break days and
hard work he done for 16 years will not go in vain. I will like to thank the family for the years of service he put in with the DOC.

Thank you

May God watch over the family and fellow officers these heroes worked with. We can only imagine their pain. But we can sympathize with them and we must support them. This is what the Patriots and Heroes looks like folks. Running to the danger when all others run away from it. Selfless and fearless to the end. They now work heavens Beat. And are in God's hands forever. Ever watching down on us all.
