The true measure of a person
is not found in the
might of their arm,
their wealth
or their power –
it is found in the strength
of their character.

There is no greater testimony to
ones character, than ones
willingness to sacrifice all,
in the noble quest of
providing protection to all
whom they serve.

Javier Cornejo, Police Officer, Retired
City of Milwaukee Police Department, Milwaukee WI

Rest in peace. My condolences to your family and fellow officers. . We somehow need to get together and change things to the way they were when I was younger. There were always 2 officers per cruiser. I feel strongly that a lot of these officers would not have died if they had a partner in the car with them. I don't care how much my taxes go up to make sure this happens

My prayers go out to Officer Chesna's wife and children, as well as the department. There is no reasoning behind these deaths other than the offender thinks in their mind they will somehow escape justice. I lost my son, Sgt. Daniel Baker on May 30th,2018. Daniel and Michael's journey into law enforcement traveled a similar route and their death shows the lengths they would go to protect the community and the innocent. RIP,brother.

Spring Hill Tn. Police Department
