God grant this officer's family peace in knowing he was doing his job for the love of his community. Heros seldom get the praise in this life, but God has a special place in heaven for the ones he calls home, often much too early.

Rest in peace Officer Chesna. You will be missed, but not forgotten.

A Prayer for Police officer Michael Chesna:

Heavenly Father, I boldly and humbly come before Your throne in sincere faithful and fervent prayer as we remember in this moment our Brother-in-Blue, Police Officer Michael Chesna, of the Weymouth, Massachusetts Police Department, who sacrificed his life in the Line-of-Duty. We recall with gratitude and respect all that he stood for in this life. Help us to live in the companionship of his spirit. May we be kind to the family, friends, and colleagues he loved; devoted to the community and state in which he served; and loyal to the causes which he championed in law enforcement. For the Scripture says: God blesses those who work for peace for they will be called the children of God ; there is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends; I [Jesus] assure you, today you will be with me in Paradise, and; God blesses those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Thus, in our lifetime, may Police Officer Michael Chesna live on, to our great comfort, to the betterment of Your creation, and to the furthering of Your most Holy Will. Amen.

May God watch over the family and fellow officers these heroes worked with. We can only imagine their pain. But we can sympathize with them and we must support them. This is what the Patriots and Heroes looks like folks. Running to the danger when all others run away from it. Selfless and fearless to the end. They now work heavens Beat. And are in God's hands forever. Ever watching down on us all.
