I am heartbroken to hear of the loss of Officer Lopez. My prayers are with him and his family forever. As a nephew of a 9/11 first responder who after 20years with the NYPD has been diagnosed with Lupus, I sympathize with all the families effected from that tragic day. May the bravery and the patriotism of all the men and women first responders never be forgotten. I leave my post with these words of comfort for the Lopez Family, The Book Of Matthew 5:4- Blessed are those who mourn for they will be comforted by the Lord.

I hope everyone can find comfort in Revelation 21:4 where it says, "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.ā€ Until we see him again in Paradise, please accept my condolences.

Your heroism and service is honored today. Your memory endures and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. We shall never forget our 9/11 heroes. I hope that your family knows that a nation mourns with them. I shall hold your family in my heart's embrace and pray for them for I know that both the pain and pride are forever.

Rest In Peace
