God bless the families and friends of both deputies that died while doing their duty to protect their community. It's so tragic to see our law enforcement being gunned down left and right. I pray for all that remain in uniform and those that worked with these Deputies that will continue their watch and despite their heartbreak and bring the suspect to justice and let him see what he has done to the families of both deputies and the community that knew them. God Bless The Thin Blue Line.

As you departed the bonds of this earth and touched the face of God, know that the selfless service, commitment and dedication you had for your family, community, fellow officers and a grateful nation will never be forgotten.

May God comfort in this time of sorrow your family, your fellow officers and all those whose lives you have touched.

You have served your time in hell, now rest comfortably in the arms of God - We'll take it from here.

A Prayer for Deputy Sheriff Theresa King:

Heavenly Father, I boldly and humbly come before Your throne in sincere faithful and fervent prayer as we remember in this moment our Sister-in-Blue, Deputy Sheriff Theresa King, of the Wyandotte County, Kansas Sheriff’s Office, who sacrificed her life in the Line-of-Duty. We recall with gratitude and respect all that she stood for in this life. Help us to live in the companionship of her spirit. May we be kind to the family, friends, and colleagues she loved; devoted to the county and country in which she served; and loyal to the causes which she championed in law enforcement. For the Scripture says: God blesses those who work for peace for they will be called the children of God; there is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends; I [Jesus] assure you, today you will be with me in Paradise, and; God blesses those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Thus, in our lifetime, may Deputy Sheriff Theresa King live on, to our great comfort, to the betterment of Your creation, and to the furthering of Your most Holy Will. Amen.

May God watch over the family and fellow officers these heroes worked with. We can only imagine their pain. But we can sympathize with them and we must support them. This is what the Patriots and Heroes looks like folks. Running to the danger when all others run away from it. Selfless and fearless to the end. They now work heavens Beat. And are in God's hands forever. Ever watching down on us all.

Rest in peace Deputy King. How sad those that spend their life expecting the police to keep them safe, one day turn on Law Enforcement and kill a Deputy simply for doing her job! May God bring peace to her family!

The true measure of a person
is not found in the
might of their arm,
their wealth
or their power –
it is found in the strength
of their character.

There is no greater testimony to
ones character, than ones
willingness to sacrifice all,
in the noble quest of
providing protection to all
whom they serve.
