Deputy Kirk, you spent 31 years of dedicated service, and now, our Lord has called you back to bestow on you His abundant appreciation of that work. Members of the Westerville, Ohio Division of Police understand this pain. Our staff asks that everyone offer condolences and share this link. The Morelli, Joering and our Police families received love and support from all over the world when Tony and Eric were killed in the line of duty. That provided strength during that tragic time.

We ask that everyone send that same level of love and support to the immediate family of Master Deputy James Lester Kirk, Jr. and the extended law enforcement family of the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office, South Carolina.

End of Watch Tuesday, April 24, 2018.

Rest in Peace brother and watch over us. We will protect and serve from here on in your memory.

I fight not for glory or fame, for they are momentary. I fight for those who can't. I fight for Justice. I fight for the oppressed and the down trodden. And if I should lose my life for these just causes, then I have no regrets, For I serve to protect the innocent. It matters not where or when, for evil knows no boundaries. Be it fire, flood, or the threat of tyranny, I will not flee. Justice is my weapon. Faith is my shield. Hope is my armor. Cry not at my passing, for it was my Honor to fight for you. Shed not tears of sorrow, But tears of joy, for now, I stand with God.

IMAGINE HEAVEN…

Deepest condolences to Family, Department and Friends. Visit the web site ImagineHeaven.net for a glimpse of the Glorious Reunions awaiting. My Family Doctor, Heart Doctor and Pastor all feel many NDE visions are fully valid. All law enforcement men and women should indeed qualify as "Foxhole Christians" with their duty dangers. As Ray Comfort at LivingWater.com says "Passing is the doormat they wipe their feet on before entering Heaven.” It is our belief they will hear from the Lord Himself. “Do not fear. for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the Kingdom” (Luke 12:12).

James Kirk was a fine man and great law enforcement officer. His influence on many people will continue for many years to come. When I was a reporter at The Lancaster News, then Detective Kirk was always friendly and helpful. He was the epitome of a professional law enforcement officer
