Deputy Flick, I do not recall if I met you during my internship with EPSO back in 2012, but either way, thank you for your service. You had a great sendoff yesterday, and it was my privilege and honor to be able to attend. On behalf of all of us with CCTC out of Englewood, we wish to extend our deepest condolences to the Flick family, and especially from myself to the men and women of the El Paso County Sheriff's Office. You are a hero. All of us working in corrections and law enforcement now have the watch, brother. Rest well.

My brother. My brother in blue... and my brother by marriage. My brother by friendship and love.

I miss you. I didn't realize how much I loved you and took you for granted until you were gone. In so many ways, I wished I could be like you. So professional, mature and God-fearing. You were an excellent husband... and an even better father. I will work every day to be more like you. You taught me so, SO very much just by living the example before our eyes. You have changed our lives for the better - in life, and even in death. Thank you for being authentic and allowing God to work through you. Our lives are forever and deeply changed.

Also, I will work every day to take care of and love your big sister, and your babies, the Stars. No one can ever replace daddy, but Brynden, Chris and I will never cease being there for them and trying our best to fill the hole that remains. We will make sure they continue to know their daddy and how awesome he was in every way. We love you, we love them and we will see you again!

You are truly a hero for your actions that day... and in our hearts and lives, we will honor you and thank our great God for giving you to us for the season He did.

I love you, Micah, my brother. Chantelle loves you.

Until we meet again!

I have never met you, but I have close friends who describe you as a man of God and amazing father. Your service and courage is a reflection of what it means to be a law enforcement officer, and I thank you for your sacrifice. May Jesus bless your family and watch over them during this time of mourning. Joy is sure to follow such heroic actions, and peace will soon heal the wounds your friends and family are experiencing. I pray all of this in Jesus' name, Amen.

Micah,

My time working with you in investigations was way too short but I am so very grateful for it.

You are so very loved and sorely missed. But I take comfort in knowing you are watching over us from a much safer place.

Today I was able to give your mom my thanks for your family sharing you with us. In the short time I got to visit with her it was obvious why you were the amazing person you were.

It was an honor knowing you and sharing the same uniform. I love you brother.
