A truly tragic event. Detective, we can only hope that the offenders who so viciously beat you in such a cowardly manner, faced true justice for their actions, if not in this world, then in the next.

As for the Officer who shot you, his actions were in keeping with the times, though now, under such circumstances would not be tolerated. He no doubt suffered as well and I pray for that unnamed man as well.
