Reflections for Sheriff Harvey K. Brown

Your assailant(s) may have never been brought to justice but they surely faced the absolute highest justice there is at a later time in a different place. Rest in peace and know that no passage of time will ever erase your service and sacrifice.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 108th anniversary year of your death. I am priviliged to be among the first to leave a tribute to you. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

On the 100th Anniversary of your brutal murder, I salute you Sheriff! Thank you for your bravery, dedication, and service. Your assassin may have escaped justice on earth, but I have no doubt whatsoever that on his Judgment Day he did NOT escape. Keep walking your beat on Golden Street in Heaven until one day we meet.
