Officer Hartfield is proof that a police officer is never off duty. The moment someone went down and shots rang out, he went to work. Though outgunned, out-positioned and in the line of fire, he displayed heroism and courage on an unimaginable scale. I pray for his wife, who probably, naturally, asked him to leave. I pray she will find peace with his decision and be comforted knowing he chose to show the greatest act of love humanly possible - to lay down his life for someone he did not even know. God bless you Sir. May God find you a good and faithful servant.
