Rest in perpetual peace, my sister. Thanking you again for your service and sacrifice for the people of New York City.
This atrocity committed four years ago was accomplished by a heartless person blinded with the thought that the police are all evil. Many misguided people following the false idea that the police are the problems. And, disregarding that the true enemy is statically, between good and evil. The gang bangers with no future preying on the innocent with limited opportunities to evade such acts.
The drug wars amongst themselves and, the constant resisting of a lawful arrest prompting the media feeding only information to incite the public. The BLM which is now raising eye brows of their true intention - to devide us.
Sleep well my princess. We all miss you and hoping strength and blessings for your three loving children. Until we all meet.

On this your third day in Heaven I want to express again my gratitude for your service and sacrifice for all of us here on Earth. The person who committed this horrible crime against you is still alive in some people today; and, with the
false narrative that police officers in this country are systematically attacking people of color. In my 34 years I have seen so little of this that it is not worth mentioning. And, the little I saw was because they were viciously resisting arrest and assaulting us. People today will not face the underline truth about systematic brutality against people. Here in NYC with the bail reform, you have seen a surge of unbelievable crimes committed every day. And, these crimes against innocent people have been committed by the same people who will continue to commit crimes against each other and, protest the perpetual false narrative that it is the police who is wrong. And, our city government cowered to this so called injustice at the expense of our citizens.

It has been two years now since that tragic incident. It seems as if it happened yesterday.
This was something that made people stop for a moment, and think how vulnerable anyone is. Atacking an police officer in the service of her duties. Makes you think of the evil that is around us. She was suppose to go home that night after her tour of duty, and be with her three children. That never happened that night because of a crazed and evil person engulfed with hate. The unpredictability of our chosen profession is astounding. Miosotis died doing what she loved...being an NYPD police officer.
Rest in peace my sister..you are not forgotten by all those who loved you, and the mentioning of your name to keep your memory alive always.
May your loving children and family always know that you are a hero and were a member of the NYPD, and that this city owes you a great gratitude for your service and sacrifice. Until the day we meet.

I was grateful that the supreme sacrifice of both you and your family was recognized personally by President Trump at the 2018 Memorial Ceremony. He invited your whole family on stage which I had not seen happen before. So many wonderful things were said about you, and how you battled back after an earlier injury so that you could be on patrol again.

On behalf of my family, I extend our sincerest condolences on the grievous loss you suffered when Miodotis was killed.

To the Familia family, fellow officers, and all who call Miosotis beloved, my heart goes out to all of you and may you find comfort in your loved ones and your strength in your faith. When my son was killed, the entire law enforcement community in our area embraced us in a circle of love and support, and I know you will receive the same support. It makes the unbearable less torturous, and I pray for your solace. I hope that your family knows that a nation mourned for you.

This reflection is sent with the utmost respect for the dedicated service Miosotis gave to her community and the citizens of New York and for the supreme sacrifice she and her family made on July 5, 2017

I hope everyone will find comfort in Acts 24:15 - "And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous." Until we see our loved ones again on an earthly Paradise, please accept my condolences.
