Officer Jeremy Thomas
Cassville Police Department

I was friends with Carl for probably close to 20-25 yrs and worked closely with him kicking in doors and chasing bad guys. Carl was a cops cop. He was the kinda guy that would take new officers under his wing and mentor them. He always wanted to be the first guy through the door because if anything bad happened he would rather it happen to him than a brother officer. He was a special guy. Rest easy my friend.

God, filled with mercy, dwelling in the heavens' heights,
bring proper rest beneath the wings of your Lord,
amid the ranks of the holy and the pure,
illuminating like the brilliance of the skies the soul of Carl Cosper who went to his eternal place of rest.
May You who are the source of mercy shelter him beneath Your wings eternally,
and bind his soul among the living, that he may rest in peace. And let us say: Amen.

I am so sorry to hear of this fine officer. I knew him from the Tornado work I do with the National Weather Service as a Spotter. He was a good man and such a waste and great loss to our state and community. He will be greatly missed. He did training in my city of Nixa Mo at the local pd here. I know all will miss him. May god watch over his family and fellow officers. Everyone like him. So sad.
