Clint, my friend for so many years. As kids we rode motorcycles, raced cars and pulled some crazy stunts together. I miss you every day and our incredibly funny conversations. You were a man of honor, intelligence and sincerity and thoughts of you never leave my head. I still hear your laugh and see your funny grin as we would reflect about so many of our great times together. The last pistol you built for me is now my office center piece that serves as a continued reminder of your incredible talents. I pray that you are at peace and watching over us all, protecting others as our guardian angel. You left an indelible imprint on all who knew you.

God Speed and God Bless

Miss you my friend

On behalf of my family, I extend our sincerest condolences on the grievous loss you suffered when Clinton was killed.

To the Greenwood family, fellow officers, and all who call Clinton beloved, my heart goes out to all of you and may you find comfort in your loved ones and your strength in your faith. When my son was killed, the entire law enforcement community in our area embraced us in a circle of love and support, and I know you will receive the same support. It makes the unbearable less torturous, and I pray for your solace. I hope that your family knows that a nation mourned for you.

This reflection is sent with the utmost respect for the dedicated service Assistant Chief Deputy Greenwood gave to his community and the citizens of Texas , and for the supreme sacrifice he and his family made on April 3, 2017.

Nebraska Police Officer

Dear Clinton:

Thank you for the service you provided all your life, to your fellow Americans. There is no way of ever knowing how many innocent lives you positively impacted with your dedication to duty and honor. I pray the coward that did this horrific act be brought to justice as soon as possible. A coward that lies in wait is someone this world doesn’t need breathing. “For the candle of the wicked shall be put out forever”.

Our solemn oath of “Protect and Serve” is the very cornerstone of what you epitomized and made the rest of us proud. Our very core principles of the American way of life, given to us some 240 years ago by our forefathers, is something I am proud to say, you gave all to ensure.

Many years ago, my late Dad gave me these words upon my graduation from the Police Academy, and I give them lovingly to you; “Above all else, honor”. And honor you have my brother. May Almighty God bless you, you family in this horrible time, helping them heal, and God Bless the United States of America. Rest in peace, we have the watch. Our sacred Blue Line has held.

Amen

Lake Mary Police, (Fl)
