A Prayer for Detective Jason T. Weiland:

Lord God of mercy, peace, and love, we remember before You in this moment our Brother-in-Blue, Detective Jason T. Weiland, of the Everest Metropolitan, Wisconsin Police Department, who sacrificed his life in the Line-of-Duty. We recall with gratitude and respect all that he stood for in this life. Help us to live in the companionship of his spirit. May we be kind to the family, friends, and colleagues he loved; devoted to the parish and state in which he served; and loyal to the causes which he championed in law enforcement. Thus, in our life, may he live on, to our great comfort, to the betterment of Your creation, and to the furthering of Your most Holy Will. Amen.

"Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends." John 15:13 ESV

A police officer should be remembered not by how he died, but how he lived! A great man has gone to secure a safe path for the rest of us to follow. Thank you to you, your family and the Everest Metropolitan Police Department. Our country is a little less safe without you. Rest in Peace Brother!

May God watch over the Family and Fellow Officers that put their lives on the line for us everyday. We all lose when one of these heroes fall. And this one was a terrible loss. A man who without care for his own safety did such a noble thing. I hope his family will find some type of peace during this time of mourning. God will not let them down. Keep Faith and know he is in a better place.

Avenue of the Fallen

Standing at attention in their class “A“uniforms, badges gleaming and shoes like glass, are your brothers and sisters of Law Enforcement. All of whom have previously paid the ultimate price.
Today, like many others, they welcome you to this wonderful place.
As you march down the Avenue of the Fallen, all eyes focus on you as if to say “it’s OK, you’re with your eternal partners.”
A salute is followed and a tear can be seen on so many faces.
Welcome, you served well.
Now come join us in the ranks, another is coming home.
