Debra, my heart grieves immensely for your family. I too buried an Army son, and there is no greater pain. May your family feel the strong, loving arms of God through this time.

Dear Debra:

And so justice is served, that bastard is in custody. And it was your handcuffs that brought him in! Rest in peace now, knowing that dirt bag will never again hurt anyone.

Again, we all thank you for your service and commitment to excellence to "protect and serve". Rest in peace, we have the watch.

Just remember HOW she did her days and what was important.
We can each honor her with our service of focus and honor given to the work that occupies our days. NO MATTER OUR JOB OR TITLE, what we do is important.
Her example seems worthy of emulation and repetition and Peace Be unto her family who have suffered a great loss. "Her picture" is framed by her work and those who do the same with honor and struggle.
I had a good friend with same name so she caught my attention the first time I heard it. Like, "this call is for you...."
i have been blessed to hear what has been presented about her and I honor the love and dedication she carried within her soul. Powerful in life and death, her life was truthfully lived. We all need to remeber how hard this job is, but that is is deserving of respect and due diligence

Although I cannot claim I personally know these two officers, for many reasons I feel a commonality with these two real life heroes. Their humanity and sincere dedication to good causes beyond their badge, as witnessed by all those they touched is something we should all strive for.
May they be received at the pearly gates.

JESUS...

In that name alone there's healing, in HIS name, there's comfort. In that name alone there's omnipotent power, and in HIS name there's strength for the weak and mending for the broken. JESUS is love and HE extends HIS grace and mercy to us all, just and unjust... We have the Victory no matter what it looks like. So square your shoulders, hold your head high and plant your feet firm because we are more than conquers through HIM who loves us.
In times like these...

JESUS!
