My dad was your grandfather's cousin and though I never knew you, you are a brother. I am seeing this senseless crime on peace officers far too often and I have shared many of them on facebook to bring this epidemic to the mind and hearts of those I know. They have not hit close to home like this. I am a retired Dallas firefighter and always had a close bond with the police officers there. I count all firefighters and police officers as part of my family. I am sorry I never got to know you. Rest in peace my brother.
