Reflections for Deputy Sheriff Dennis Randall Wallace

As a Paramedic I saw Deputy Wallace in a different light as some people I think. Being on scene with Depury Wallace countless number of times over 11 years working the same area, I always thought to myself that Deputy Wallace was a different kind of cop. I've seen a lot of LEO's who put off the tough, macho and im a bad%$s attitude. But Deputy Wallace was different. In 11 years of knowing him he was always more willing to give a hug or comfort a person than to be hard on them. He had a soft spot for children and would always go out of his way to comfort children when it was a tough scene and kids were involved. Very compassionate and caring deputy. The community that we serve, the community that Deputy Wallace served will always remember him for his kindness and I think kost of all his infectious smile. Lost a friend and the community of Hughson, CA lost a great deputy. Rest in peace sir.

A flash back to my 5th, 6th and 7th grade years. Deputy Dennis Wallace was a great role model, mentor and special friend.

I remember being so excited to write my promise to always say "NO" to drugs. Standing next to Deputy Dennis Wallace with my head held high I read my speech in front of my peers.

So many of us share these great memories.
I am so glad I had the opportunity to have him in my life for a short while. He made a footprint in my life that I will never forget.

To the Wallace family,

Your thoughts and prayers are surrounded by love. May you have the strength to move forward. May you have peace so healing will be upon you. May you know how much you are adored because of the impact Dennis had on this community.

In all graciousness,
