It's sad to see such mayhem in the world towards police officers. This world has lost many officers in the line of duty, for no more of a reason then wearing a badge. I wish this young man a happy eternal life and may you look over your loved ones from above. Rest in peace fellow officer.

My condolences to this officer and his family. I can't imagine the pain they're going through. I am working to be an officer myself and I dare say he died doing what he truly believed in. His untimely demise only succeeded to steel the resolve of me and others like me. To us, Officer Brotherson wasn't just an ordinary person but a relatable one, a mentor, and even though I didn't know him. His sacrifice strikes at every heart string imaginable. I know a few people from Utah and I know it's not the easiest place to work or live in. However, an officer's work is never done and the loss of his life will only fuel the determination in others to make a world where cops aren't targets but instead make them appreciated.
