Dear Dan:
No words of mine or anyone else can bring you back. But we can hail you for the hero you are. Most of our fellow countrymen cannot fathom what fear and danger really is, because of sacrifices like the one you voluntarily made. Most folks think of “Protect and serve” as a catchy phrase or an old cliché, because they don’t understand it’s a code we live by.
My words, or that of others won’t heal the pain and sorry your family and your agency has to contend with. But my words will pay tribute and honor to a man who lived and died by our code. Thank you for your sacrifice and your service, your dedication and your honor. I pray Almighty God will help heal your family and your agency, and awaken Americans to the REAL sacrifices that police make every day, to guarantee them the opportun9ity to live in peace and free from evil.
“Above all else, honor”.

Lake Mary Police, Fl.
