Five years. Sometimes, it feels like it's been decades since it happened, and other times it feels like it just happened yesterday, and every day it feels like you should still be here, but you're not. You are so, so missed by so many people who still love and care for you and live their lives to the best they can in your name and memory.

Hey bud. Still here. You're still missed and thought of often. Remember Jesse? He recently became a deputy sheriff in your honor. I know you'd be really proud of him. He misses you, too.

I have the pleasure of announcing that Deputy Hopkins has received justice in the fact that his killer was found guilty this week for first degree murder and attempted murder of Jack’s partner who took him into custody. Rest easy Jack, you will always be remembered. We have it from here.

Dear Jack Jack,
Me and Ava miss you dearly. You were a huge support for me and getting into law enforcement. You are one of the sweetest men I have ever met. Ava misses you as well. She still calls you her daddy and asks about you often. your sister called me to let me now how everything was going. We did it!! Justice will finally be served for taking you away from all of us.
'Til we meet again in the sky.

Love your forever,
Your momma Ninja Bear and Ava <3

It's been too long, bud. I still miss you like crazy, and I wish we could have had a lot of adventures together. Been talking to your sister every now and then, one of them - she's a really good girl, she's getting on really well. She's super strong! I know you'd be proud. Missing you always.

I still think about you all the time. I still cry. Always gracious for your friendship when we worked together, and your kindness to me when I was new. You were always such a sweet person. I wish we had been able to stay in touch when I left, wish that we had gotten to be better friends. You were amazing. I don't want the world to forget you.
