Rest in peace Officer Vega.

Incidences such as these drive my family and I to a state of grieving for those who fell by the heinous actions taken and the family members of those who were lost. Although I have only read about Officer Vega in news and ODMP articles, I feel a deeply rooted debt to him, his family, and all other fallen Officers. Officer Vega possesses unquestionable honor and undoubted bravery. May Officer Vega rest in perpetual peace and live on in unending memory and may his family and fellow Officers feel solace and comfort in a time of darkness.
Sincerely,

A Concerned Citizen

Feel His presence as God answers the prayers of many who have fallen to their knees on your behalf. Since the day of my son's death, I have carried every law enforcement officer and their family in my heart.

Every morning I go to my knees. During that time I pray, “Lord, Be with all law enforcement officers. Keep them safe and free from harm. They are your soldiers on the front line of the battle against evil. If one should fall this day - wrap their family in your loving arms. Surround them with Your angels, family and loving, caring people to comfort them. Ease their pain. Help them to mourn well. In Jesus' name, Amen”

I have lifted you and your family to God every morning for the past four years. Feel those prayers. God is with you, He knows and will ease your pain.

Faith helps us see beyond the grave.

I would always run into Officer Gil At Taco Asada. If I were already there, he'd sit with me. If he were there he'd ask me to join him and whomever else. Officer Gil always made me laugh. When I was going through such emotional stress at work, he'd helped me see the bright side and maybe Gods Will. When I told him I was going to retire, I asked him Gil, when are you going to retire? He said as soon as I get these 8 kids raised. Even after not seeing him all these years I can still see him smiling at me and I know I shall laugh again with him. Rest In Peace my friend.

When I start my tour of duty God, wherever crime may be, As I walk the darkened streets alone, let me be close to thee. Please give me understanding with both the young and old. let me llisten with attention until there story's told. Let me never make a judgment in a rush or callous way. But let me hold my patience, let each man have his say. Lord if some dark and dreary night, i must give my life, Lord with your everlasting love protact those special in my life.
