I never knew you, i never met you, but you were my brother. I would have backed you up any day. It saddens me greatly to hear of another officer that has gone. Rest in peace my brother, your fellow blue bloods have the watch from here. Go walk a beat on heavens streets, we got it covered down here. To Blake's wife i am so sorry for your and your family's loss, if you ever need anything always know that your blue family has you covered. I pray God gives you and your family strength. I wish i had the right words to ease the pain but know that you have unlimited support from the Law Enforcement community. From a Police Officer in CA, God bless you and RIP Blake.

Blake,

I attended your wake and stood by to salute you as your funeral procession went past. I was so happy to see people throughout St. Louis honor a hometown hero the way they did. It has been said a million times, but you'll NEVER be forgotten.

Your family is in good hands. Your comrades and complete strangers have already contributed to create a safety net that ensures that your wife and son will be taken care of. It won't fill the void caused by the senseless actions of a coward - nothing ever will. But rest assured we're looking out for those left behind.

To officer snyders wife, little boy, family and friends
My heart goes out to you all. In 2004 i lost one of my best friends in the line of duty. Words can not describe the pain you are feeling at this time. Just know that he died a hero not just to you or the family but to an entire community. I always asked why and you will never get the answer you want but knowing that he was put here on this earth to protect not only his family but complete strangers. He was here to make his beautiful wife smile and to create a little boy that will always be a part of him. To his little boy your daddy is truly a hero. A man who loved you with all his heart and was trying to make a safer place for you. He will now be the angel that never leaves your side. My prayers are with all involved. I am so so very sorry for what you are going through. I will continue to pray.

Dear Officer Snyder, I did not know you but I heard about your passing. I hope that you, your family and friends will be comforted at this sad time. I hope that your family and friends will remember all of the good things and times that you all spent together. That you all will be more positive than negative and more happy and grateful then sad. So that good and love are shown to be more powerful then anything else. Officer Snyder, you have done so much more than I can hope to do. You were younger than me, married with a child and you chose to serve in a profession that is stressful and dangerous and calls on you to have courage every single day, to go into the unknown without any hesitation. To bring the best of yourself and to help people who may be having their worst day. Everyone needs a hero at times and I'm sorry that you were taken away from us but I thank God that you were here.

Officer Snyder, I was sadden to hear the news of your passing. I frequently check this site and pray for the fallen and families left behind. I don't know if we were related as our name is an unusual name, I do know we both answered the call to serve. You made the ultimate sacrifice and I pray your family has the strength to fight on. "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they are the children of God"...We will take it from here, RIP Officer Snyder

Officer Snyder, you and your families sacrifice will live on forever. As a daughter of a Retired Highway Patrolman, and former officer myself, I remember the days of wondering if my dad or myself would come home. You are "Truly" home now, with your Father, The Lord. May your family find peace and comfort in knowing you "Gave All" to protect those you didn't even know. I pray daily for those who so selfishly put their heart, soul and lives on the line every day. God Bless your family as they move forward. Thank you, for your sacrifice, you are Truly a Hero!!
