Rest in peace, Officer Brackeen. It has been a few years since I lived in North Carolina, hoping to work in law enforcement but I still feel very close to those who might have been my brothers & sisters in blue. Condolences to them, your department and your family, too.

Sending thoughts and prayers to the Brackeen family and the Shelby Police family. Our agency knows too well the sadness that comes with such a loss, as we encountered the same less than a month ago. Our LEO wives also send love and prayers to those at home who will comfort their LEOs during this time of mourning.

About 0230 hrs. this morning, your fellow officers in Rhode Island took your murderer into custody. They represented the thousands of your brothers and sisters that have worked around-the-clock to bring your assailant to justice, and maintain fidelity to the pledge: "No one wounds us with impunity!". Rest in peace, Tim.
