Almighty God,
we pray for all who at this time mourn Master Deputy Collins ,
who was tragically killed whilst serving the public;
and we ask for your comfort
and strength to be especially
with their loved ones and colleagues.

As we pray also for those
who continue to be in danger from this violence,
we give thanks for the constant courage
and devotion to duty of the police,
and all who take risks
to protect our communities.

May they be strengthened for the tasks they face
and supported in the commitment they give,
that they may further the well-being of all people
and enable our society to be loving, just and at peace.

We ask this in the name of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Amen

Brandon, Ordinary you were not! My first memories of you were as an undercover officer. Damn you were good at buying dope and the stories you shared from those experiences were so colorful, especially when your partner was involved. We had that talk a few years ago, didn't think you had it in you to be a patrolman. You proved me wrong and I ate that crow in front of you, a great patrol officer you became. The good Lord made one of kind when He made you. There is a huge hole in this department without you. Rest in Peace brother,

Deputy
JCSO

I feel how weak and fruitless must be any word of mine which should attempt to beguile you from the grief of a loss so overwhelming. But I cannot refrain from tendering you the consolation that may be found in the thanks of the Republic they died to save. I pray that our Heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement, and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be yours to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of freedom.

Yours, very sincerely and respectfully,

Abraham Lincoln
