A Prayer for Police Officer Clint Corvinus:

Lord God, you are always faithful and quick to show mercy. Our Brother-in-Blue, Police Officer Clint Corvinus, of the Alamogordo, New Mexico Police Department , was taken from us suddenly and violently in the Line-of-Duty. Come swiftly to his aid, have mercy on him, and comfort his family, friends, and colleagues by the power and protection of the Cross. Heavenly Father, as we mourn the death of our Brother-in-Blue, Police Officer Clint Corvinus, show us the immense power of your goodness and strengthen our belief that he has entered into Your presence. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

"For the policeman does not frighten people who are doing right; but those doing evil will always fear him. So if you don't want to be afraid, keep the laws and you will get along well. The policeman is sent by God to help you. But if you are doing something wrong, of course you should be afraid, for he will have you punished. He is sent by God for that very purpose. Obey the laws, then, for two reasons: first, to keep from being punished, and second, just because you know you should." [Romans 13:3-5 TLB]

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God.” [Matthew 5:9 ESV]

“Greater love has no one than this that someone lay down his life for his friends.” [John 15:13 ESV]

The salvation of the righteous comes from the Lord;
he is their stronghold in time of trouble.
The Lord helps them and delivers them;
he delivers them from the wicked and saves them,
because they take refuge in him.
Psalm 37:39-40
Rest in peace brother.

RIP Officer Corvinus, you have done your duty and even after facing the man who shot you gave you a fatal wound you never gave up and was able to chase him down and remove him from endangering anyone else. May God Bless and give comfort to your wife and daughter as well as your friends and Brother and Sister Officers.

Officer Jim Bragg (Ret.)
Greenville, SC City Police Dept.

Officer Corvinus, thank you sir for your service. Chasing that wanted felon took tremendous courage and bravery. To be able to return fire after you were mortally wounded, and to put a permanent end to the criminal in his tracks is nothing short of heroic. Thank you again. You are a true hero. We will keep your family and Department in our thoughts. Please watch over us as we carry on.

I will be retiring this year. I will miss the friendship and comradeship of my fellow officers. What I will not miss is going to the funerals of officers killed in the line of duty. Too many of us have died needlessly at the hands of criminals. Rest in peace my brother.
