Thanks for your service to this great nation, during WWII and to your state. You were only on the job a short time and the criminal you encountered no doubt did or said something that allowed him to gain the tactical edge. It is interesting that you have few reflections. I guess your family moved on --interesting that your former agency had not entered a few messages-anyway I'll reflect on your service and sacrifice. Thanks.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 65th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace

Guard Turley, you served the nation and the people of Cook County well. You did not deserve this from the vile worm who murdered you. I do not mourn is death, but I mourn your even after these 65 years. The anniversary was just 2 days ago. Tragic and infuriating.
