As a Former Reserve Police Officer, 20 year retired US Navy Submarine Sailor also NEC 9545 (Navy Military Police) I stand with the Officer in Baton Rouge and all those who stand on the Thin Blue Line that keeps us all safe! This includes Corrections and Security Persons!

I served aboard the USS Baton Rouge SSN689 from 1979-1983 I take it personally when someone hurts any from the city named after the submarine I serve onboard! As A Afro AMerican I take it personally when all people of any culture are broad stroked with any label!

When we had our First reunion in your city We were treated with nothing but respect and kindness by all person in your city including Law Enforcement in the various district that we traveled ! Law Tends to take care of its Veterans!

We the Veterans stand behind you and your Fellow Shipmates (Fellow Officers)! I subscribe to Officer Down Memorial Page. I Pray each time I see a Officer on patrol and especially when I see on with the Light and Sirens activated that they will go home to their family as safe as when they went out on patrol!

I do not know the reason of this situation! I know one thing! We need each and every one of you as Law Enforcement on the Street keeping the Peace!

I protected the United States from overseas and under the seas. You protect America from inside America! Stay Strong! There are Folks like me who Love and Respect each and everyone of you and what you do!
