Rest in Peace My Brother in Blue.

A Prayer for Security Supervisor Joseph Zangaro:

Lord God, you are always faithful and quick to show mercy. Our Brother-in-Blue, Court Officer Ronald Kienzle, of the Berrien County, Michigan Trial Court, was taken from us suddnely and violently in the Line-of-Duty. Come swiftly to his aid, have mercy on him, and comfort his family, friends, and colleagues by the power and protection of the Cross. Heavenly Father, as we mourn the death of our Brother-in-Blue, Court Officer Ronald Kienzle, show us the immense power of your goodness and strengthen our belief that he has entered into Your presence. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

"For the policeman does not frighten people who are doing right; but those doing evil will always fear him. So if you don't want to be afraid, keep the laws and you will get along well. The policeman is sent by God to help you. But if you are doing something wrong, of course you should be afraid, for he will have you punished. He is sent by God for that very purpose. Obey the laws, then, for two reasons: first, to keep from being punished, and second, just because you know you should." [Romans 13:3-5 TLB]

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God.” [Matthew 5:9 ESV]

“Greater love has no one than this that someone lay down his life for his friends.” [John 15:13 ESV]

I feel how weak and fruitless must be any word of mine which should attempt to beguile you from the grief of a loss so overwhelming. But I cannot refrain from tendering you the consolation that may be found in the thanks of the Republic they died to save. I pray that our Heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement, and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be yours to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of freedom.

Yours, very sincerely and respectfully,

Abraham Lincoln

I am a LEO in Florida, but was raised by strict parents in this county. My thoughts are with the families of our brave brothers on this day, and everyday that another brother or sister dies doing what they love; to serve and protect. With every passing day we must be vigilant, but still hold out hope that there are people who will support us, and assist us when we may need help. Martin County Sheriff Office sends our love and support. Stay strong.
