Officer Brockman's great, great grandson, I was born in 1947 and am now more than twice as old as he when he was shot down. I never got to know him of course, but am honored that he, his son, then my father, and now my brother were/are all involved in law enforcement.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 100th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Night Policeman Brockman - Last Friday, on a very rainy morning, I stood in the State Assembly chamber when your name was one of almost 250 others read off during a motion regarding next month's Police Memorial Week. You are not forgotten. Next May 15th we shall wear our mourning bands in memory of you all. Thank you for your service to the people of Fort Collins and the state of Colorado. May God grant you eternal rest and may His perpetual light shine upon you.

We have lost two brothers in Fort Collins, and we honor and remember them both. Our new police building which is under construction shall honor both our fallen officers with the streets surrounding the building named for Brockman and Allen.
