My father used to go fishing with Mr. Brocker. I never met him as I was born the year he died. I grew up in the area around Splitrock. When I was growing up; nobody in the locale ever mentioned any names in connection with his death. It was probably someone from outside the really local area or I would have heard something about it. There were no local suspicions that I ever heard about.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 60th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer. It is unfortunate that corruption was at the root cause of your death.
