To my father, I flew to New York a couple days ago to pay respects at the World Trade Center. 9 years since I lost you from the cancer, I was 17 when I lost you, now I’m 27. Time does not heal these wounds, sometimes the pain gets worse because I realize I’ll never see you again until I pass) but I see how much you miss out on. Thank you for your sacrifices and making sure me and Kyle were well taken care of. I’ll always miss you, and I love you very much.

We worked together in BNGS. We were there on Sept 11th. All of us. We knew this was bad. Don't think any of us thought it was THIS bad! RIP Richie.

I had the pleasure of working with Richie in the Gang Division. He was always an upbeat person with a smile on his face. He led an emplerary life and was a fine Detective. May God keep Richie in the palm of his hand. Fidelis Ad Mortem!

Rest well my brother. Thank you for your service during those dark days at the three locations. So many owe you a lot of gratitude. Sad that so many will forget what we all did there. But all of us who were there will not forget, and one day will have the honor to meet you.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the third anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
