I am again brokenhearted, as my eyes tear up with this kind of news, and so it goes, every-time I hear it!
I don't know this fine man, from any of the dozens of other officers, that try to shake the hand of everyday, and yes, everyday!
As that, my dear friends in Blue, is the absolutely the least thing I can do in expressing my personal gratitude and deepest condolences for loss of this fine man, to the parents that raised a good soul, his children and Michael's entire family during this, so sad a time.
I will close with this; it is because of the moral fiber of this man, the courageousness of others officers across this, our nation and their committed calling into Law Enforcement, that is a real Blessing to us all, the everyday people.
We will always be indebted to fallen here today, the still standing strong and those resting well in age, as we all pray for this family, and that society give all those in Blue their Due respect; for God knows they've earned!
I have said enough, however a certain other man said it the best I have ever seen it written, nor could ever try to express the feeling any better myself. Know that I only read this for the first and just before replying as to how I felt about the news of another lost in Blue.

"When a police officer is killed, it's not an agency that loses an officer, it's an entire nation." -Chris Cosgriff, ODMP Founder

God Bless each everyone one of you, this, another fine, fallen gentleman and his family.

Respectfully and with heart,
Dan Coleman

A police officer should be remembered not by how he died, but how he lived! A great man has gone to secure a safe path for the rest of us to follow. Thank you to you, your family and the Branch County Sheriff's Office. Our country is much less safe without you. Rest in Peace Brother.
