Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Sheriff Lorie James Mangham, Sr.

I wish I had known my grandfather who died much too young. All I know about him are the memories my father and his sisters tell me. We don't know if the robber passing thru town was caught. Thank you to this organization for honoring him.

Sheriff Mangham,
Sir, it has taken over 79 years but you are finally being honored. I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for the citizens of Lamar County.

Sheriff Mangham, thank you for your service. We can only hope that the person who truly is responsible for your death, the driver of the car you were pursuing, paid for his/her stupidity. It wouldn't give you back to such a large and no doubt loving family, but it might have given them a sense of finality to the matter.

God Bless you and may your rest be forever peaceful, Brother.
