Reflections for Police Officer Ashley Marie Guindon

Incredible young lady. So many things to thank you for. Having been in the military myself and now in law enforcement, it is an honor to know that there are people that still have the courage and will to serve and protect....putting their own lives on the line. God bless you and thank you for your kind effort to try to serve and protect. This really saddens me, to lose an L.E. sister and of course for her family. She will serve and protect from above because her heart will remain a kind and selfless one. You will be missed.

Officer Guidon never had the opportunity to enjoy how rewarding the career of a Law Enforcement Officer can be. But in just a day on the job, she was brave and gave her life in the line of duty as many before her have done. Prayers to your family during this most difficult time.

Truly a sad day for Law Enforcement. What does one say to such a horrific act. My god watch over her and her family.

Someone Killed A Policeman Today

Someone killed a policeman today
And a part of America died...
And a piece of our country which he swore to protect
Will be buried with him at his side.

The beat that he walked was a battlefield too,
Just as if he had gone off to war.
Though the flag of our nation won't fly at half mast,
To his name they will add a gold star.

The suspect that shot him will stand up in court
With counsel demanding his rights,
While a young, widowed mother must work hard for kids
And spend many long, lonely nights.

Yes, someone killed a policeman today,
Maybe in your hometown or mine,
While we slept in comfort behind our locked doors
A cop put his life on the line.

Now his ghost walks the beat on a dark city street
And he stands by each new rookies side.
He answered the call, of himself gave his all

And a Part of America Died!
