You were murdered by a nobody in a meaningless act. You did your job, you did it well and for that, not the sacrifice you were forced to make, you are truly a hero. So long as you are kept in the hearts and minds of all who know and love you best, you will never really be gone from them.

God Bless you Brother and may your eternal rest be ever peaceful.

Rest in peace Corporal Nate Carrigan, you will always remain in our prayers. We saw you working tirelessly to make society a better place but that was no to be. With tearful eyes we sadly saw your loving and selfless heart stop beating. Even though your sudden and untimely early death tearfully breaks our hearts, it proves to us God's desire to take for himself one of his and our very best.

Nate, thank you for your service. Your sacrifice serves as an example to us all. The citizens of Park County lost one of their bravest and finest when you fell. You will always be remembered as a hero. I remember FTOing with you, and how in arrest control, you could deliver a kick like the Incredible Hulk (even after all these years, I think I still have a bruise). Though you were one of the strongest, bravest, and most dedicated officers I knew, you were also a very loving, funny, and compassionate man at heart. Your passing is felt deeply by all who knew you. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family and the brave men and women of the Park County Sheriff's Office. Love you, Nate, and we'll miss you! Rest in peace our fallen brother...we have the watch.

Sergeant Dean Morgan
Buena Vista Police Department, Colorado
