Reflections for Police Officer Jason David Moszer

Thinking about this senseless/tragic event I am reminded of a quote attributed to George Orwell who upon reflecting on WW2 and those who served during that conflict but I believe can also be applied to law enforcement (Officer Moszer was both): "People sleep peacefully in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf."
Our community would do well to use blue ribbons and blue lights in honor of Officer Moszer's selfless service and in honor of all who maintain the "thin blue line" of protection.
May his family, his fellow law enforcement officers, Guard colleagues and memory be blessed.

To The Family of Police Officer Jason Moszer

I was deeply sadden today when I read of the tragic death of Officer Moszer. It is difficult to find any comfort during this time. Please try to take comfort in Jesus words found at John 5:28,29 where he said that there would be a resurrection. Once again, my condolences to the family.

Feel His presence as God answers the prayers of many who have fallen to their knees on your behalf. Since the day of my son's death, I have carried every law enforcement officer and their family in my heart.

Every morning I go to my knees. During that time I pray:

“Lord, Be with all law enforcement officers. Keep them safe and free from harm. They are Your soldiers on the front line of the battle against evil. If one should fall this day - wrap their family in your loving arms. Surround them with Your angels, loving family, friends, neighbors and caring people to comfort them. Ease their pain. Help them to mourn well. In Jesus' name and for Your Glory, Amen.”

I have lifted you and your family to God every morning for over four years. Feel those prayers. God is with you; He knows and will ease your pain.

Our faith helps us to see beyond the grave.

Thank you for your military and police service. May god bless and keep your family now and in the future. This has been a heavy month paid for in the lives of police officers in this country which has not gone unnoticed by most of us. I hope to celebrate your life in May as I read in the news there about plans for a ride in your honor then. They reported you were a motorcycle enthusiast and a benefit ride would be a great idea.

Officer Moszer, thank you for your service to this nation and your community. You are truly a hero.

Why did this animal simply take his own miserable life and spare the innocent. Why did he have to murder you BEFORE he shot himself? We may never know the answer.

God bless you and may you forever Rest in Peace, Brother.
