My deepest condolences to Sgt. Goodding wife, children, family, friends, and fellow colleagues of the Seaside Police Department. We live in such a violent and wicked world where many have no respect for life or authority. The bible at 2 Timothy 3:1 mentions that we are now "living in the last days of critical times." God see's all and is displeased with the conditions of this world and promises a grand prospect for Sgt. Goodding and the many other officer's who have died in the line of duty. Isaiah 25:8 reads "he will swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces." I pray this promise brings comfort to all who knew and loved Sgt. Goodding.

I live in Corvallis, and a Beaver fan. My sister played shortstop for the ducks. I root for the ducks except for the civil war.

Friday I couldnt take my eyes off the tv. I am so sorry for the loss of this dedicated officer and wonderful family man. I didnt expect to feel such a loss for somone ive never met. As I watched I not only saw the love and grief, I felt it to. It is with my deepest sympathy I offer my condolences.

Sergeant Jason Goodding was obviously one of the good ones. I will forever respect the police more then I did. I wish I could do more, except to tell you he has touched my heart. Forever.

We did not know, Officer Goodding. We are praying for him and his family. Our family has vacationed for the last 35 years in Seaside and Cannon Beach. We have been on Broadway in Seaside for those 35 years. It has always been a street of fun, food and family entertainment. Yesterday, my wife and I came to Seaside for a long planned holiday. We walked down Broadway and had dinner near where Office Goodding was gunned down. This doesn't seem possible. God Bless all of those in uniform.

Jason,

You were the best of us. I never thought I'd only have my memories of you to go off of from now on but I will cherish them forever. I will always remember fondly working alongside you during the 4th of July celebrations (if we could call them that...) and miss razzing one another during training. I may have left the area but you were always a part of my LEO family and always will be. You are incredibly missed. Godspeed, we'll take the watch from here.
