Reflections for Correctional Officer Adam Scott Conrad

A Prayer for Correctional Officer Douglas Adam Conrad:

Lord God, you are always faithful and quick to show mercy. Our Brother-in-Blue, Correctional Officer Adam Conrad, of the Marion County, Illinois Sheriff's Office, was taken from us suddenly and violently in the Line-of-Duty. Come swiftly to his aid, have mercy on him, and comfort his family, friends, and colleagues by the power and protection of the Cross. Heavenly Father, as we mourn the death of our Brother-in-Blue, Correctional Officer Adam Conrad, show us the immense power of your goodness and strengthen our belief that he has entered into Your presence. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God." [Matthew 5:9]

God, filled with mercy, dwelling in the heavens' heights,
bring proper rest beneath the wings of your Lord,
amid the ranks of the holy and the pure,
illuminating like the brilliance of the skies the soul of Adam Conrad who went to his eternal place of rest.
May You who are the source of mercy shelter him beneath Your wings eternally,
and bind his soul among the living, that he may rest in peace. And let us say: Amen.
