My sincere condolences to Officer Conrad's family, friends, and fellow colleagues of the Marion County Sheriff's Office. In the bible at Ecclesiastes 9:11,12 it tells us that "time and unexpected events, or unforeseen occurrence, overtake them all. For a man does not know his time." Jehovah God has outlined a wonderful prospect for our loved ones who have fallen asleep in death. Revelation 21:4 reads "he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more. Neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." I pray that God's comforting words bring comfort to all who knew and loved Officer Conrad.

Avenue of the Fallen

Standing at attention in their class “A“uniforms, badges gleaming and shoes like glass, are your brothers and sisters of Law Enforcement. All of whom have previously paid the ultimate price.
Today, like many others, they welcome you to this wonderful place.
As you march down the Avenue of the Fallen, all eyes focus on you as if to say “it’s OK, you’re with your eternal partners.”
A salute is followed and a tear can be seen on so many faces.
Welcome, you served well.
Now come join us in the ranks, another is coming home.

God of all the human family,
You have committed to us
A ministry of care and protection
For the good of all your people.

May we always recognize
The God-created humanity
Of those we serve as of ourselves,
Which is the hope of our reconciliation.

Keep us ever mindful of your laws of love
So that we may temper justice with mercy,
Exercise control with compassion.

May our motives and our actions
Conform to your will and fulfil your purposes
All the days of this life
So that we may share in the life to come.

Amen
Go with god my fellow CO

On behalf of the Westerville, Ohio Division of Police, our thoughts and prayers are with the immediate family of Correctional Officer Adam Conrad and the extended law enforcement family of the Marion County, Illinois Sheriff's Office. Rest in Peace brother and watch over us.

I fight not for glory or fame, for they are momentary. I fight for those who can't. I fight for Justice. I fight for the oppressed and the down trodden. And if I should lose my life for these just causes, then I have no regrets, For I serve to protect the innocent. It matters not where or when, for evil knows no boundaries. Be it fire, flood, or the threat of tyranny, I will not flee. Justice is my weapon. Faith is my shield. Hope is my armor. Cry not at my passing, for it was my Honor to fight for you. Shed not tears of sorrow, But tears of joy, for now, I stand with God.

By Jon F. Hooper
