It is always sad to see another officer added on this page but it is always especially hard for me to see a mother on this page. As a mother myself and the daughter of an officer, I can only imagine the pain of losing a mother in the line of duty. I pray for your family and your young daughter that despite your loss at an early age, she always remembers that God blessed her with a hero for a mother and her mother died doing her hero's duty. May God bless and hold your family through this time and for always.

Trooper Jursevics... You were Jamie to me! You always made me, and all those that worked with you at Douglas County Sheriff's Office, smile! Every time I'd see you round a corner you had that silly smile on your face and it was one that could even be heard over the radio. You will be missed greatly, you already are, but I want you to rest easy knowing that you will never be forgotten and we will always be here for your daughter, husband, and family to share how you touched each of our lives!!

Until we meet again on the streets of heaven I know you will watch out for us and I will watch out for your fellow officers!

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God...

Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office

God, filled with mercy, dwelling in the heavens' heights,
bring proper rest beneath the wings of your Lord,
amid the ranks of the holy and the pure,
illuminating like the brilliance of the skies the soul of Jaimie Jursevics who went to her eternal place of rest.
May You who are the source of mercy shelter her beneath Your wings eternally, and bind her soul among the living, that she may rest in peace. And let us say: Amen.
