My condolences to the Marlin, TX Police Department on the loss of your Chief of Police. I am sure he will be missed by all who knew and worked with him. My thoughts are not just with the Police Department but with his family as well on this tragic event. I read all the time where a police officer is killed and I get the notices about it. IF I were a police officer and I raced to the scene of a fellow officer that was fighting for his life, I am sure I would be there to keep everybody calm and to alert his family and officials if he succumbed to his wounds. It is a time for a community and a police department to mourn the loss of its police chief.

A police officer should be remembered not by how he died, but how he lived! A great man has gone to secure a safe path for the rest of us to follow. Thank you to you, your family and the Marlin Police Department. Our country is a little less safe without you. Rest in Peace Brother!
