To the Family of Police Officer Daniel Webster

I was saddened to hear of the death of Officer Webster. Please know that your family are in my prayers. When I have lost loved ones in the past, I reflected on Jesus words at John 5: 28, 29 where he said that there would be a resurrection. These words I keep in mind and look forward to the time when there will be peace here on earth (Rev. 21: 3,4). Once again, I am sorry to hear of your lost.

Thank you to a hero! You are joining your other brothers in God's police force. Shake hands and give my son Cameron a hug from his mom. We lost our son KSP Trooper Ponder on 9/13/15 to a fatal shooting. My 8 year old grand daughter bravely stood on a stage before 1000's and recited this blessing the day we laid her beloved uncle to rest.

May the road rise to meet you...
May the winds be always at your back...
May the sun shine warm upon your face...
May the rain fall soft upon your fields...
And until we meet again...
May God hold you in the palm of his hand...
May he bless you and keep you safe..

Our hearts and prayers go out to your family. Do not worry, we will be here for them. Rest peacefully Officer Webster.

Somebody Killed a Policeman Today

"Somebody killed a policeman today,
And a part of America died.
A piece of our country he swore to protect
Will be buried with him at his side.
The suspect who shot him will stand up in court,
With counsel demanding his rights,
While a young widowed mother must work for her kids
And spend alone many long nights.
The beat that he walked was a battlefield, too,
Just as if he'd gone off to war.
Though the flag of our nation won't fly at half mast,
To his name they will add a gold star.
Yes, somebody killed a policeman today,
It happened in your town or mine.
While we slept in comfort behind our locked doors,
A cop put his life on the line.
Now, his ghost walks a beat on a dark city street,
And he stands at each new rookie's side.
He answered the call and gave us his all,
And a part of America died."
