Investigator Sandberg, You did your best to watch over a miserable pile of worthlessness. You tried to keep him controlled yet safe and it cost you your life. He will forever be a meaningless nothing while you will always be a hero. Heaven, I firmly believe has welcomed you, while Hell has a special place for him.

So long as those who love and admire you hold you close in their minds and hearts, you will never truly be gone.

God Bless and may you forever Rest in Peace, Brother.

I had the privledge of working with Steve Sandberg when working as a child protection worker at Aitkin County. While not a law enforcement officer, I can say that he was compassionate, caring, and the consumate professional always, even at the most difficult of times. He is a great loss to all who worked and knew him
