Reflections for Master Patrol Officer Kevin Jermaine Toatley

A police officer should be remembered not by how he died, but how he lived! A great man has gone to secure a safe path for the rest of us to follow. Thank you to you, your family and the DeKalb County Police Department. Our country is a little less safe without you. Rest in Peace Brother!

I am truly sadden by this! The same thing happened to a St. Johns County Sheriff Officer in Jacksonville Florida! It shows the Law Enforcement Officers are Human to and the Lives they Save by Enforcing the Traffic Laws may be mine or their Own!

Stay Safe! We need you out there! You do make a difference!

I worked morning watch at Tucker Precinct while Officer Toatley was on evening watch. Even though the evening watch guys got worked to the bone every night and were dog tired by the time to go home, Toatley made sure to tell us to be safe before he went home and we began our shift. Often times he would be visibly exhausted and sometimes he wasn't feeling his best, but he still took the time to think about the guys and girls on the next shift. To treat others well when you aren't feeling well speaks volumes about your character. RIP my friend and my brother...
