A police officer should be remembered not by how he died, but how he lived! A great man has gone to secure a safe path for the rest of us to follow. Thank you to you, your family and the Vermont State Police. New England is a little less safe without you. Rest in Peace Brother!

Kyle Young was my academy classmate. He was intelligent, strong, funny, and always had a smile on his face. Although we parted our ways after the academy, Kyle left an impression in my heart that he would have gone far in this career, especially with his extensive and unique military background. The news came in as a tremendous shock to our entire class of 97. I hope Kyle's family will find the strength they need in this difficult time. Rest in peace, brother. Will miss you.

Trooper Kyle D. Young:

Thank you for your service to the citizens of the State of Vermont and to the Vermont State Police. "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God" Matthew 5:9. Let us now celebrate your life and remember your selfless sacrifice. "Greater love has no one than this that someone lay down his life for his friends" John 15:13. However, death is not the end; it does not have the final say! And He [Jesus] said to him, "Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise" Luke 23:43. Now, my Brother in BLUE, rest easy; we will take it from here. "Well done, good and faithful servant" Matthew 25:11. May the Lord God bless you always!

Rest in peace Trooper Young, both you and your family will always remain in our prayers. We saw you working tirelessly to make society a better place that was no to be. With tearful eyes we saw God take you to His loving home. Although you worked tirelessly society remains headed in an ever delinquent way. Thus, God made your golden loving heart stop beating and hard working body rest. God broke our hearts to prove to both society and to us, he only takes the best.
