Avenue of the Fallen

Standing at attention in their class “A“uniforms, badges gleaming and shoes like glass, are your brothers and sisters of Law Enforcement. All of whom have previously paid the ultimate price.
Today, like many others, they welcome you to this wonderful place.
As you march down the Avenue of the Fallen, all eyes focus on you as if to say “it’s OK, you’re with your eternal partners.”
A salute is followed and a tear can be seen on so many faces.
Welcome, you served well.
Now come join us in the ranks, another is coming home.

Another senseless loss of a good man and servant of the people. Heartfelt condolences to your family and friends, brothers and sisters of the Chatham County Sheriff's Office and all other local law enforcement officer's, the good people of Savannah, Georgia and those citizens who support law enforcement in The State of Georgia, as you have all been deprived of a national treasure.

You will never be forgotten by those who wear the Badge with courage, dignity and restraint.

Rest in eternal peace, Deputy Hall.

Deputy Sheriff Richard Allen Hall:

Thank you for your 14 years of service to the citizens of Chatham County, Georgia, and to the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office. "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God" Matthew 5:9. Let us now celebrate your life and remember your selfless sacrifice. "Greater love has no one than this that someone lay down his life for his friends" John 15:13. However, death is not the end; it does not have the final say! And He [Jesus] said to him, "Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise" Luke 23:43. Now, my Brother in Blue, rest easy; we will take it from here. "Well done, good and faithful servant" Matthew 25:11. May the Lord God bless you always!

As a current resident of the area, I appreciate your service and mourn with our community, your family and friends, and your Sheriff's Department family. The blue line is thin between EMS and Police and a Brother has been lost.

You have done your duty and served your community. Now you are in Heaven watching over each of your Brothers and Sisters, each of your loved ones. I know the coming days will be filled with tears and unbelief, laughter and stories. I pray God gives them each more laughter than tears, more comfort than pain.
And for you for Sir, may you Rest in Peace in that big Station in the Sky. Thank you for your service in keeping me and mine safe.
