Rip hero. We feel everyone of our brothers losses and to have to fall to such a coward I'm at a loss. I hope they have witnesses or cameras to give this guy the chair. Prayers to your family. I hope this guy wasn't doing this in a act to push gun violence up. Everyday it seems someone is doing that now and everyday it seems we lose another brother in blue. The world is evil stay vigilant at all times my brothers and sisters. Thank you for the heroic lesson. Every day one of us falls we leave a valuable selfless lesson behind to save so many others that represent the blue line. God bless everyone and stay safe.

My heartfelt condolences to your beloved wife and children, extended immediate family, your brothers and sisters with the Harris County Sheriff's Office and the local law enforcement community, the law abiding citizens of the greater Houston area and those who support law enforcement in The State of Texas and throughout this great country, for we have all be deprived of a national treasure.

The Thin Blue Line shall forever remember your courage, professionalism and sacrifice in the cause of public service and safety. You shall not be forgotten, Deputy Goforth.

We must believe that justice SHALL prevail. For it is written that good shall ALWAYS triumph over evil. In your memory, the law enforcement and criminal justice community shall continue to do their duty with honor, dignity and restraint.

Rest in eternal peace, good and faithful servant.

I am so sorry to hear of such a disaster of a kill. It just tears in to my soul that such a good man could be gunned down like that. Know that his family and his division are not the only ones who feel the pain of such a loss. God bless all our officers.

Our brother Darren Goforth taken too soon from a world that needs great people going above and beyond for those that need them. Another brother lost simply because he wore a uniform and badge.

You did your job with pride and honor everyday, you held the hands of people who were afraid, you walked through the darkest street to bring light & hope to many.

Thank-you for wearing the badge brother, you're courage & sacrifice will never be forgotten. Your blue family will never forget you.

May your soul rest in peace, go and walk heaven's beat because we have your six and we now have the watch.
